TOP BATTERY POWERED LAWN MOWERS TO BUY
Battery Driven Lawn Mowers are quiet, fuss-free, and easy to use. One of the main benefits of having this sort of model is that, instead of a Gas Lawn Mower that takes more muscle to drive around and walk behind, it is lightweight and more comfortable navigating around the lawn. Even if you come into touch with water, the battery-operated model runs less risk. In contrast, the Electric Lawn Mower can be a health and safety issue.
1.GREENWORKS 40V 20-INCH CORDLESS TWIN FORCE LAWN MOWER,4AH BATTERIES WITH CHARGER INCLUDED
Overall Rating: 5/5
I don’t normally see a mower that pushes my class limits, but the Greenworks 25302 Twin Force G-MAX does just that. Does this cordless electric mower actually match the performance of a gas-powered mower? No, it does not. The consumer industry is unlikely to see this kind of breakthrough in my lifetime. With the battery-powered platform, we show how long-lasting and durable technology can be.
- Dual-battery layout
- With twin 10-inch aerodynamic blades
- Composite deck of 20 inches
- Powered by two generators
- Smart Cut technology to maximize battery life
- Five height settings
Everything I just checked is available in a single bundle that starts at less than $400. Its battery life is longer and its power is greater than 95% of the electric mowers I checked and charged after about a year. Kudos to Greenworks.
Aside from avoiding a heavily soaked lawn and keeping the batteries charged, there isn’t much maintenance to mention. The maintenance of an electric mower, such as the Twin Force G-MAX, consists of keeping the blades sharp, the inner workings dry, and the power supply charged. Everything else is covered by the four-year warranty.
To put it all in simple terms, it’s difficult to know where to begin. Due to its dual high-capacity 4 Ah and low-capacity 2 Ah lithium-ion batteries, its 40 V battery can power its twin motors for an impressive 70 minutes. Adding two new 4 Ah batteries to the system extends the cutting window to an average of 90 minutes when both sources of power are fully charged. Additionally, it only takes two hours per high-capacity battery to charge.
EASE OF USE
The installation is not complete until you attach the Twin Force G-handle MAX’s and insert the batteries. Unfortunately, the handle does not adjust to the user’s height but folds to save storage space. It’s a great idea to have rubber grips that are easy on the hands while maintaining firm power, but I find them cheap and flimsy enough to believe that wearing a pair of gloves might be a better idea after all.
With dense, tall grass, the Twin Force G-MAX reaches its limit. In addition, its two engines do not produce nearly enough horsepower to move up and down slopes. Since it’s powered by electricity, I cannot warn you strongly enough not to use it near wet turf.

2.GREENWORKS G-MAX 40V 16" CORDLESS LAWN MOWER WITH 4AH BATTERY-25322 MODEL
Overall Rating: 5/5
Greenworks is a manufacturer of high-quality lawn equipment. Greenworks G-MAX 40V 25322 uses the same 4 Ah lithium-ion batteries as the rest of their product line. A single charge can cover up to 7,000 square feet. Five height settings on the cutting deck let you adjust it to the current turf conditions.
- Greenworks offers compatible batteries and other equipment
- Covers up to 7,000 square feet on a single charge
- Cutting height can be adjusted in five different ways
- Four-year warranty on tool
- Batteries are covered by a 2-year warranty
- Bagger or rear discharge
Due to its electric power, the Greenworks G-MAX would naturally be more cost-effective than a coal-powered competitor. Make sure the batteries are completely charged before each use. Its four-year instrument warranty and two-year battery warranty further decrease the cost for the owner.
You can cut a 16-inch swath of turf with a single pass on the cutting deck. Compost piles can be set up for bagging or side discharge, which lets you decide how you want to feed them. Smaller grass clippings are more likely to decompose quickly instead of drying into thatch that can choke the lawn.
To make it simple to run, the Greenworks G-MAX has been designed to be lightweight. It is designed to float over the turf with 6-inch wheels at the back and 7-inch wheels at the rear. The lithium-ion 40 Volt 4 Ah battery drives the push mower on a single charge for up to 7,000 square feet. It is not self-propelled, however. Greenworks has engineered it when the blades are engaged for reduced vibration. One of the really convenient things about the lithium-ion batteries of this electric mower is that they are compatible with up to 25 other electrical power equipment in their line as well. So if you need to mow more than 7,000 square feet for an even longer overall run time, you can easily swap over to another battery from another unit.
EASE OF USE
As an electrical lawnmower, the Greenworks G-MAX is much easier to use and maintain than a gas-powered mower of the same size. It launches with the click of a button. It is also light enough to drive quickly. The cutting deck can also be quickly adjusted. There’s a big lever in your hand that looks relaxed when you drive it into the desired position.
With the Greenworks line, users can swap out the 40 Volt 4 Ah lithium-ion batteries with 25 other tools. It is also worth noting that for low vibration, Greenworks made it a point to design this lawnmower. You and your hands will learn to understand this during a long mowing session.

3.GREENWORKS GLM801601 21-INCH 80V CORDLESS PUSH LAWN MOWER INCLUDES TWO 2AH BATTERIES AND CHARGER
Overall Rating: 4.5/5
If you want power and strength, you should consider the Greenworks PRO 21-Inch 80V Cordless Lawn Mower. There is a runtime of up to one hour, so this is suitable for large yards with a decent amount of lawn. The battery is easy to charge. Mowing the field would be quick and efficient with the 20-inch blade. Additionally, it has a brushless and digitally operated engine for optimum performance.
- 80 volts of power.
- A healthy running time of one hour.
- Brushless motor, digitally regulated.
- 21-inch deck.
With the 80V and brushless motor, the digitally operated mower is capable of mowing wider fields and in difficult terrain. It’s definitely one of the most powerful cordless lawnmowers on the market. The Greenworks PRO 21 inch 80V is available in three configurations, as shown below.
1)MODEL NO. GLM801601 = 2 x 4AH BATTERIES
2)MODEL NO. GLM801602 = 1 x 4AH BATTERIES
3)MODEL NO. GLM801600 = NO BATTERY (TOOL ONLY)
The mower is almost completely assembled. Only the handles need to be assembled. The assembly is not complicated or time-consuming.
This lawnmower has three options: mulching, rear grass bags, and side discharge. Both work depending on grass length and ambitions. Mulching is particularly useful, as it returns essential nutrients to the soil. This will boost the lawn’s health and save you time and resources. It is only realistic and will not work well if the grass is tall when mowing regularly.
A single lever’s height can be easily adjusted. Height options range from 1 1/4″ to 3 5/8″. If the grass is allowed to grow a bit longer, some would prefer a slightly higher maximum choice, given the strength of the mower.
This model lacks advanced safety features. If used as directed and with due care, this lawnmower is a safe one to use. During charging, the charger has a feature that will activate the built-in fan if the battery gets too hot. It would extend the battery’s life but slow down the charging process.

4.GREENWORKS G-MAX 40V 17" BRUSHED MOWER WITH 4AH BATTERY AND CHARGER 2508302 MODEL
Overall Rating: 4/5
Electric lawnmowers can be tough to choose between corded and battery-powered. Electric lawnmowers are quieter than their gas-powered cousins, but depending on your turf, they may or may not be the right choice. If there are more than 150 feet between your property line and the closest outside electrical outlet, then you likely do not have a corded electric lawn mower. Although your lawn is small enough to handle the cord length, the presence of complex landscaping features, trees, shrubs, and flower beds can cause cord tangles. It also offers two-in-one versatility. It can be set up as either a bagger or a mulching mower, depending on your preference. Both designs support a 40V electric motor.
- Battery Lithium-Ion 4 AH added.
- Motor 40 volts.
- The versatility of the 2-in-1 as a bagger or mulcher.
- Five different height settings.
- It is lightweight and easy to maneuver.
Mulching or bagging your lawn clippings without having to pay for additional accessories is definitely a money-saver.
Greenworks 2508302 requires very little maintenance. You can easily order any cheap replacements online if your mower blades are getting dull. These are easy to fix, and the owner’s manual includes instructions on how to do this. Potentially taking charge of the batteries is crucial to saving the Greenworks 2508302.
It weighs a little over 40 pounds, making it nimble and quick to maneuver around even the most difficult landscape elements. The 40 Volt electric motor can mulch and bag grass clippings as well.
EASE OF USE
Since the Greenworks 2508302 is battery-driven, you don’t have to worry about cable tangles. It is quick to change the 17-inch deck to any one of five height settings. Battery life should be considered over the long run. Lithium-ion batteries will have a shorter lifespan if you frequently overcharge them.
The Greenworks 2508302 comes with the usual safety hand controls that you’d expect from an electrical mower. When not in use, the electric motor that drives the blades suspends movement. The underside of the mower deck needs to be cleaned. Make sure the machine is turned off completely.

5.WORX WG779 40V POWER SHARE 4.0 AH 14" LAWN MOWER W/ MULCHING & INTELLICUT (2x20V Batteries)
Overall Rating: 3.5/5
The WORX WG779 lawn mower is powered by two 20V 4.0Ah batteries and has a 14-inch deck. It was built to mow smaller yards with a single charge of up to 5,500 square feet, which is around 1/8th of an acre and has the capacity to mulch the lawn or catch the cuttings in an 8-gallon storage bag.
- Up to 5,500 square feet of coverage with a single charge
- Li-ion lawn mower battery, 40V (2x20V), 4Ah
- 14″ blade range
- With bagging or mulching options
- Cutting Height: 6 3/4″ to 2.75″
- Charging Time: 4 hours
- Run time: 45-55 minutes.
The WORX WG779 Cordless Battery lawn mower is becoming a popular alternative to gas-powered lawn mowers here in the US, but how does it perform? In place of one 40v battery, the WG779 uses two 20v 4.0AH batteries simultaneously. Why? Well, WORX wanted to optimize its batteries across a variety of cordless equipment.
For lawns that have recently been mowed and you do not need the extra power that the turbo mode provides to cut longer grass, the eco mode can be very helpful.
Using this eco configuration greatly extends the mowing time. The battery gauge on the top of this mower is another fantastic feature. It may seem normal, but it’s not. Well done, WORX! With these mowers, you can go out to work any time you like without bothering you, your family, or your neighbors, as well as do your part for the environment with zero emissions.
The WORX WG779 features a reversible safety key that disables the lawnmower to help prevent unintended starts. This is a positive innovation that is missing in comparable cordless mowers and gives children peace of mind. It is impossible to loosen the key because it has a string attached to the handle.
Mulching grass is another fantastic feature of this cordless mower. Mulching is not available on most cordless lawn mowers in this class and price range.
